Become A Millionaire | Pay Attention

My mother at one point was a buyer for a major grocery company. The best part is that she bought for the snack foods section. So company's wanting there snacks on the shelf would go through my mom. Through that process they would bring her tons of samples. In return she would bring those samples home. It was definitely the nicest. At one point she brought home a couple bags of M&M's. Me and a friend had the "munchies" just about everyday of the week. So you know M&M's sounds good.... Right. RIGHT! So were chatting and eating them when I came across this discolored M&M it was sort of a grayish color. I checked it out for a moment, found it odd, popped it in my mouth, and carried on. Were still chatting; When I notice on the bag "WIN A MILLION DOLLARS" all you had to do is get the right bag with the gray M&M and a game piece in it and you when.... WHAT... Do what. You wouldn't believe the hysteria I was in. Maybe you would.

Cannon XL2 vs Sony HDR-FX1

Well after the post of my beloved XL2. I had a comment posted stating that the Sony HDR will supposedly -"put the XL2 out of business". An over exaggerated statement by far.. From what I have read on the HDR my conclusions are as follows.

First by starting off this camera is a consumer grade camera. The fact that it uses RCA instead of professional grade audio inputs is suprising, seeing that Sony expects to gain a large percentage of sales from indie filmmakers. The Pro version Of the HDR will probably have the XLR capability along with other prosumer accessories, but the only price range I could find for the pro version was under $7000. The main things I am worried about is that the camera can not shoot @ 24 fps. It is said to be able to shoot in 24i (whatever that means). This is actually one of the main reasons for me purchasing the XL2. The HDR also does not shoot in true 16:9 format, and the tape Sony will release is expected to be a whopping $18 a unit. The HDR does have amazing resolution @ 960 x 1080 compared to Cannons 960 x 720. Another big Motivation for me buying the Cannon is for it's excellent quality of lenses and the fact that you can interchange them with Nikon and 35 mm cameras ( of course with the right adapters).

Just for personal input. I like the Larger Cannon camera I can control my movements much better with my shoulder as an anchor for a steady shot. A hand held camera just will not work. I can promise you choppy movement and a camera basically impossible to keep steady without a tripod, but anyone with any knowledge of camera operation would know that. and the price to convert the HDR to a shoulder mount I promise will not be cheap.....More to come

Steve Wonder could'nt have said it better. This camera wants to be my second child. I know because it told me through an e-mail. I have had my eyes on this camera for too long. So hopefully I am able to hold her soon. Maybe for a graduation present....Maybe. 5k is alot of cash not to mention the extra lenses I want. Man I'm a ravenouse bastard. Isnt she beautifull though. You can check out cannon and read some things about her. This camera is definatley comparible to the DVX100. The Cannon can shoot in an uncompressed 16:9 ratio which is pretty amazing especialy if I was ever to transfer to film...Ahh one day. Basicly I will be using this camera to produce my first Documentary. I'm working on the goals and what angle of the story I wish to take. Mostly the story will create itself. This is my blog and I say what I like.
